Special Features
POLY consists of 100 % polyester and, therefore, achieves a specifically high tear and abrasion resistance. Furthermore, it is chlorine resistant. This makes POLY interesting for embroidery on work clothing
POLY originates from the same house as SULKY, and, therefore has the same color numbers; for a better differentiation of POLY a \"6\" is added before the actual number.
However, 100 % polyester can never achieve the smoothness of SULKY (100 % viscose) or COTTY (100 % cotton). If, in spite of the high tensile strength, thread breakages should occur, or loops appear, and you are not able to stop this by adjusting the thread tension, use silicone.
